Optimisation medium for RNaxis and Triaxis protocols

The RNAxis™ or TRIAxis™ protocols on certain cells may lead to a final RNA fraction containing a material of unknown nature (Devinoy E.I. et al. (1989) Reprod. Nutr. Develop., 28, 1145). This material is readily soluble in water, insoluble in alcohol, forming DNA-like fibers and has an absorbance similar to nucleic acids in UV light. It is probably polysaccharides which are readily solubilized by guanidinium thiocyanate, and appear not to interfere with hybridization, but lead to wrong RNA amount estimations in the final preparations. It is eliminated by RNAssistant™ allowing to obtain pure RNAs. Storage and Shipping:
